Royal Romances: Forbidden Magic review

Royal Romances: Forbidden Magic is the latest entry in the point-and-click fantasy series. If you’ve ever wanted to search medieval shrubbery for mysteriously well-preserved goblets, then congratulations, this game was made specifically for you.

Gaming Heaven

Visually, it’s a treat. Every screen grabs your attention and keeps you enthralled as you progress in the game. You’ll solve a whole range of puzzles and the presentation – for a game of this ilk – ticks all the right boxes. It does what it says on the tin, and follows the same (winning) formula of other hidden object adventures.

Gaming Hell

It’s still a point-and-click game, so if you’re looking for combat that involves anything more dynamic than clicking on a silver dagger behind a fern, you’re in the wrong forest. And yes, occasionally the puzzles feel ever so slightly obscure.

Final Judgement

A gloriously fun hidden object game that features forbidden love, morally flexible werewolves and aggressively dramatic plot twists. What more could you want?
