The top 3 films worthy of a remake

There’s nothing particularly wrong with John Carpernter’s Stephen King adaption. It’s a slight film, with a solid story and fantastically creative kill scenes. The reason I’d like to see it remade now? There’s been a sudden resurgence of extraordinarily talented young actors and actresses (perfect for the high school age protagonists) – Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Elizabeth Olson – who could bring a whole new level of nuance to the actually quite complicated and emotional plot of the original novel. And improved special effects could make the titular Christine (an evil car, in case you were wondering) look less like an unfortunate cartoon parody and more like a terrifying instrument of death. And on that note…
